The interviews with guests are posted either in blog or podcast format.
At the beginning, my intention was to talk to experts in various professions to understand those professions and the educational qualifications so that I can choose the right major and college for me. After talking to a few guests, I thought these details could be beneficial to other high schoolers like me. As I had no intention to post a blog or podcast at the beginning, I did not prepare the guests for the podcast. So, I decided to post the first few interviews as blog posts and the rest as podcasts.
Initially I started with alumni  from my school, but later I expanded to other experts through various channels. My intention is to interview 1 or 2 guests from various professions ranging from doctors and lawyers to film directors and teachers.
There are multiple ways to become successful in any given profession. The details suggested by the guests are either the most popular or shortest possible paths. Alternate paths are available as well. We suggest you to use the details shared only as guidance; once you narrow down a profession you’re thinking of pursuing, we recommend that you dive deeper dive and do some more research before making your final decision on the career, major, and college.
If you are new to PathFinder101, we suggest you to listen to the intro podcast; it is a 5 min podcast that explains the purpose and ways to navigate.
The short answer is ‘yes’. When the podcasts are available on popular platforms, we will publish the details on the PathFinder101 website and as well as through other social media.
The plan is to release 1 or 2 podcasts per week until most popular professions are covered. I hope my senior year will allow me to spend time every week to stick to this planned schedule.
The podcast will only cover the interview with guests. We recommend you to visit the PathFinder101 website to read the other details related to the profession. See the answer to Q2 for the details covered on the website but not on the blog.
Use the ‘search’ field. If a podcast is already available, you will see the details in the search page.
Yes, our intention is to cover most major professions; if you have any recommendation or professions that you would like to see on the site, please use the ‘Contact Us’ page to submit you request. We will try to find a guest to interview and post the podcast as soon as we can.
